Girl Post: What can I fit into a cupcake?

I slept at a friend's place this weekend and was very tight on packing space. I found my cupcake coin case and wondered if I could fit my everyday make-up within its confinements.

Answer: Yes I can, apparently!

This is a far better option than a cosmetic bag.

If anyone's interested, I always wear Benefit's Boi-ing concealer in a mix of light and medium (hence why I have two), Mac's old school Blushcreme (not the terrible new cremeblends) in Ladyblush and Nar's lipstick in Niagra.

The concealer and blush never change but the lipstick changes on a weekly basis depending on my mood :p

Weekly Collage

- Wife's apartment has a lovely lobby. Still reminds me of old school Versace, needs more fancy gold lion heads

- Wedding reception of Geneva's co-worker was amazing, we all got customized cupcakes. I didn't eat mine and I have no idea where it ended up going. They informed us that the enormous centerpiece in the middle of the table was won by the cupcake box with a sticker at the bottom. I kept praying that I wouldn't win (which I didn't) because I have no idea how I would bring that thing home.

- The menu was pretty fantastic, the brandy basket that the sorbet came in was the most delicious thing ever.

- I looked around Nuit blanche at around midnight before heading back to the apartment. I still didn't see a single damn thing except loads of drunk people and a nicely lit Nathan Phillips Square

- Cora's had an insane line and we didn't want to wait in the cold. Proceed walking 20 minutes for a similar (and better, in my opinion) breakfast at Sunset Grill. I had the veggie omelet with an extra topping of bacon. Excellent meal, lasted me until 5 pm.

- Shortest ferry ride in the world for the Helitours, which was 6 minutes and 30 seconds of pure awesome.

- Finished the day off by sapping internet at Starbucks before heading back to Hamilton.

- Oh and some recent purchases: An owl necklace and a simple silk white shirt by H&M (thank you to the Boy for my gift card! ^_^ ).

- I found some useless clinique things I bought from Sephora a while back and exchanged it for a gift card. Nars' lipsticks in Love Devotion (a coral red) and Niagra (pinkish red) are far better choices.

Sunday Survey: October 2nd, 2011

01 Mood: Not bad. It went for a bit of a downward spiral from Thursday to early Saturday but managed to make a good recovery for the rest of the weekend.

02 Last Movie I saw: 2 weeks notice. Frivolous romantic comedy but Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant have amazing chemistry.

03 What I’m watching: Damages Season 2. Excellent law show with loads of conspiracy, espionage and people getting whacked.

04 Best thing about this weekend: I had the best day in Toronto. I went to a fancy wedding with my wife (we were mistaken for a real lesbian couple. My glasses makes me lesbian chic) Geneva and finished it off with a helicopter ride around the city on Sunday.

No, I do not think it is odd to go as a friend's wedding date and then embark on a romantic ride around downtown Toronto.

Boi-ing concealer, Mac blush creme in Ladyblush and Nars lipstick in Niagra.

Moisturizer: Neostrata Smoothing Lotion Level 1 on face, Etival clarifying moisturizer on chin

07 What am I wearing today:

Gray jeans from the Gap, a beige victorian top from H&M and a black vest by Espirit. I call it my Victorian Nerd look.

08 What am I reading: Nothing. There's fluff and dust in my brain, it probably looks like the inside of a vacuum

09 Current Makeup Lust: YSL Rouge Pur #52 in Rosy Coral.

Stunning color and beautiful packaging. It's on my next budget list after Lancome's rose veil.

10 Listening to: The Andrew's Sisters' Greatest hits. I've been liking old school swing music lately. I've also been listening to quite a lot of Sinatra, he never goes out of style.

11 Clothing Lust: I've bought something that satisfies last week's clothing lust so I suppose I'm on to the next thing. The jacket is by Calvin Klein and is actually pretty reasonably priced at $150. My mom's been asking me if I need a new winter jacket so this is quite obviously an opportune situation.

The second one is a bow tie silk shirt also by Calvin Klein, this is easily dupable so it's really not necessary to go with the exact object.

12 Haircare Lust: None.

13 Skincare Lust: I will always wish for an unlimited supply of Bioderma and Cetaphil.

14 Current obsessions:

Tea and moisturizing since it is getting very very cold.
